Meridian Family Law LLP holds a Legal Aid contract and is able to undertake work on qualifying Children Law matters on behalf of clients who have the benefit of a Legal Aid Certificate. Some Children Public Law proceedings lead you to be automatically entitled to Legal Aid, such as if the Local Authority apply for a Care Order or a Supervision Order. In some proceedings you may qualify for Legal Aid depending on your financial circumstances and the merits of your case.
Our Lawyers can discuss with you whether you are likely to qualify for Legal Aid and what evidence (if any) you will need to provide. If you do not qualify for Legal Aid we can offer you an initial fixed fee appointment to discuss your concerns and possible action you can take, with no obligation to instruct us further if you choose not to.
